☢ LostMap
Lost places, ruins and bunkers from open data
Important notice
LostMap shows places from publicly available open data sources. The app is not an invitation to enter these places.
- Many places are on private property, closed off, guarded or protected monuments. Entering without permission can be a criminal offence.
- Abandoned buildings, bunkers, tunnels, caves and ruins are often life-threatening: collapse, falls, shafts, contamination, unexploded ordnance.
- Location, condition and accessibility may be wrong or out of date. Some places no longer exist.
- Take nothing, damage nothing, leave nothing – only take pictures.
Use at your own risk. No liability is accepted for damage, accidents or violations of the law in connection with the use of this app.
Privacy
LostMap has no user accounts, no tracking, no ads and no analytics. No personal data is sent to or stored by the operator.
- Your own spots, the last map position and the offline cache are stored only on your device (browser storage). They only leave the device if you export them yourself.
- Location: only when you tap "Locate me" does your device ask for permission. The location is used only locally to centre the map.
- Map services: to show maps, aerial images, LiDAR layers and photos, the app loads images directly from the providers listed below. As with any web request, these providers technically receive your IP address and the map area shown. Their privacy policies apply.
- The app itself is delivered by a hosting provider, which may keep standard server logs (IP address, time) for a short period.
